I’ve got your back
A peacock rides on a rabbit, that rides on a monkey, that rides on an elephant – and together they gather ripe mangoes high above the traffic of Connecticut Avenue.
Dogs Welcome
You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog, but you’ welcome here. The dog park just beyond this wall welcomes dogs and their humans year round. It is a meeting place for many mutts, the very occasional pure breed, and their motley group of dog owners.
And psssht, they’re gone
Scientists worry about the insect apocalypse as we kill off insect diversity on our planet.
Realsurreal
Through the artwork i tried to show the surreal nature
of Hyderabad and the variety of people living in it.
Used elements on the wall like the mountains shows
Hyderabad with it’s ups and downs; the galaxy points
to the endless possibilities of life in maqtha. The
person diving in depicts diving into a sea of culture,
the hen symbolises the sunrise and the pigeon set
free, symbolises the overlapping cultural boundaries
of the neighbourhoods such as Maqtha.
Dream of Sassoon
The mural is themed around the dream of a young
boy, who hopes to own a boat someday. He sees this
boat as the end of the problems for him and his family,
and waits for his happily ever after. However, translating
this dream into reality, is quite challenging.
I used vivid colours and elements to give the mural a
surrealistic and fantastical nature.
